Back To Blogging! :D

Yeah, I slacked on this thing. But that should come as no surprise. Anywho, I'm not gonna try to fill in for missing time, for those of you who know me or if we're friends on Facebook, then you're already aware of the recent happenings in my life...

Anywho, I just wanted to share an occurrence from today that got me thinkin'...

So I was just looking through news things online trying to find something interesting to read, when I came across a story that I'm really glad I read. Now, I'm not too big into stalking the royal family or anything, and I wasn't dying to watch William and Kate's wedding, so when I came across a story with Kate's name in the title, I wasn't overly intrigued, but then I saw the picture of her hugging a young girl that was next to the title, so I decided to read it. It was about this 6 year old cancer patient who had a wish to meet a princess, and how Kate took the time to talk to her for a minute. (You can read the story for a better description if you wish here http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/life/6-year-old-cancer-patient-gets-a-royal-hug-from-kate-duchess-of-cambridge-2508845/?pg=8) I don't know, I guess something about that whole thing just kind of said something to me. I guess I appreciate the time Kate took to spend with her and seeing something positive in the news for once. And also something that's worthwhile to read (right next to this story was something about Robert Pattinson cutting his hair. Really? Why is the relevant or important? At all. But whatever) I suppose it was just refreshing to see someone do something nice for someone else for once. There's just so much negative that's constantly going on around us, it seems as though sometimes we forget what love and compassion are, and that was a nice reminder that there is good in the world. Just look at the pictures from the story and look at the smile on the little girls face, you can't tell me that's not one of the most precious things you've ever seen. To see a six year old who's gone through so much, smile like that, is just great. I wish the best for her.

It's the smallest things that can make all the difference, we never know what simple act could change a life. Maybe, just maybe, if we spent a little more time loving and caring, and a little less time caught up in the negative and frivolous things of the world, we'd all be a little bit happier.

Yeah...Didn't Take Too Long For Me To Start Slacking On This. Surprised? You Shouldn't Be

So...I have a hard time with the follow through on some things, what can I say? I mean it's fine, I'm updating this thing now, so hopefully that will suffice.

I'm not totally sure why, but for some reason lately I've just been thinking a lot about all the people I've met, all the places I've lived, and all the experiences I've had. It really is crazy to think nearly 19 years have gone by already. Looking back now, it seems as though it's gone by so fast, yet during that moment time seems to be passing so slowly. It's a weird thing, that time concept. But we base so much of our lives off it. Strange. Anyway...

Looking back I realize that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I lived the places I did, at the times I did, and met the people I did, for a reason. They were all supposed to affect me in some way. There was something to be learned from everyone and everything. Now I can only hope that I took as much from those experiences as I possibly could. Because it's each one of those people and places that have made me who I am today. I guess it'd be a good thing to figure out how I became the person I am =P Lots of things have happened in my life, both good and bad, but there's something to be learned from everything that happens, I just hope I haven't taken too much for granted.

Life's a weird thing. It moves so fast and so slow at the same time. People come in and out of our lives all the time. Things change SO fast. Ridiculously fast, actually. All I know is that right now in my life, I can only take things day by day and appreciate what I have here, while I have it. Everything can change in just one moment.

Other than my random thoughts, there's nothing too exciting going on in Cedar City right now that I can think of. Anything of importance that isn't listed here can probably be found on Facebook...for some reason I don't slack on that as much haha.

What Do You Do When You're Bored? Take A Trip To St. George, Naturally. :D

Yeah...so last weekend was DEFINITELY a great way to start out this semester!!! Oh my heck. It was great.
Friday night was our Gymnastics meet against UCLA which we won by .3 points!! It was pretty much..amazing!!! UCLA's ranked number 5 and we were ranked number 23. So it was pretty awesome. After that Friday night DJ Marcus Wing came back to Cedar and did another dance for us, which was also awesome. It was SO much fun. I don't lose my voice often, but I did after that night =P
Saturday was pretty chill, not too much happened really. But it was fun. Just hung out with friends and played games.
Then Sunday after church we decided to head down to St. George for the night. Which was an adventure!!!! And that's almost even an understatement. We went swimming, made non-alcoholic drinks, played cards, watched a movie, went to a park...Hahahah played on a swing, and then came back up here to Cedar.
It was a great weekend and I'm very blessed to have the people that I do in my life.

Yes, Two In The Same Day

For some reason when I was typing that last one, I remembered something from Debate...Just, ya know, funny things. Redundant things, rather...I have no idea why I thought of this, but ladies and gentlemen, I would just like to inform you what some things mean....

ATM- Automated Teller Machine
SAT- Scholastic Aptitude Test
PIN- Personal Identification Number
POV- Personally Owned Vehicle
(Any others like this)

Please, for the sake of not sounding like a redundant fool, avoid saying things such as ATM machine, SAT test, PIN number, POV vehicle, because just take a minute and figure out what you're really saying. (Automated Teller Machine machine) Exactly.

This concludes my grammar rant for the time being, thank you.

Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Back To Cedar City!!! :D

Yes, yes, YES! My month long break from school and month "vacation" to Payson is now officially OVER!

I am back in Cedar and more excited for next semester than I was the last!

Well...at least the being in Cedar City part of it. The actually school part of it, not so much. But hey, I guess that's why I'm paying so much to be here, right? No, I'm only kidding, I've never been one that just loathes school. It's not always my favorite and I stress myself out WAY too much, but overall, I really do love learning. Yeah, call me a nerd, whatever, but I am excited for my schedule for next semester. It's going to be a good one [[:

So I came down a couple days early hoping that I could find a job, and I spent some time on that, we'll see how it turns out.
But I came down and stayed with my friend, Trisa, who was unlucky enough to have to work almost all break, but hey, having a job is good I suppose. Anywho, yeah, so it's been great fun...Even with..."it" around. Hah. I'm terrible. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, I am excited because all my other friends will be coming back sometime this weekend and I'm so very excited to see them. It was weird not seeing everyone for a month.
Anyway, point of this is, I'm back in Cedar, and I'm very happy to be here [:

Well 2010...

It's been a very...long and eventful year thinking back, but it's definitely one that I'll remember [[: Who would ever think SO much could happen in one year? Who knows, it really has been crazy though. So, I just thought I'd take a little bit a reflect back on this past year and just take some time to think about everything that has happened...

January- Besides the start of this year, I guess January could be one of least uneventful months out of the whole year. I don't really remember too many major things happening that month. Mostly just stuff with friends, the last semester high school was...very interesting, to say the least, in regards to my friends. Oh wait, there was one thing. There was this deal with Lehi (Yes, I know, cryptic, but...the people involved will know)
February- Let's see..Hmmm, our Region tournament for Debate (that Payson hosted) was that month. I got thrown into LD (Lincoln-Douglas), which I had never done before, and ended up doing really well (if you'd consider 1st place good). So I wish I would've started that before Region haha, but that's okay. February was a very..dramatic month, as well. Lots and lotsa of ups and downs that month. It was also when I took my first overnight visit down to SUU for the leadership weekend [[:
March- March was pretty big...There was my State Debate tournament at West Lake High School which was exhausting, but at the same time it was fun. Only the debates lasted for a couple days, all of the IE's were one day. I was the only person from Payson who went to State to actually do a debate, so I made some good friends with some kids from Salem that trip. Anywho, after that was finished I ended up taking 5th at State (I lost in my final round to a kid that I beat in Region, so it's okay). Then a week later I went up to Layton for the HOSA State Competition, which is ALWAYS fun. It was fun getting to be on HOSA Council last year. I did two events, Biomedical Debate and Extemp Speaking. We took..8th in the debate and I took 2nd in Extemp Speaking which means...*Drum roll* I qualified to go to Nationals! In Florida!! That was an adventure!! So those were my highlights from March. Oh...I think this is when I got my acceptance letter from SUU as well
April- Well..I turned 18 that month...I really don't know if too many things happened that month, either. Other than me getting really anxious to finish high school!! I do remember that much. Oh! AP Tour was that month over Spring Break. Hey Monday, The Cab, Every Avenue, The Summer Set, and Nevershoutnever. Funn.
May- Oh my. This month probably ranks among the top most eventful months of 2010. And I could probably sum the whole month up in one word, graduation. Most everything that month revolved around that. Me finishing all my school work, getting everything in line with school, and finally graduating. That one moment that I had waited for, for SO long, that moment had finally came and it seemed to pass much faster than I had anticipated. But it was all fun. Early in May I went to a Motocross race, the next week was Morp, which was just tons of fun! Then about a week and a half later was senior check out. It all happened so fast, that whole month became a blur. Saturday the 22nd was the 3OH!3 and Cobra Starship concert which was TONS of fun. Then came the big week. We got our yearbooks Monday and that was also the day of the Senior Sob, then Tuesday was graduation practice, and Wednesday, May 22, 2010 came. Graduation day. The actual ceremony went by fast than expected, as well. I can remember a couple of the speeches my friends gave, and one in particular from my friend, Belen, and I just remember one the messages was sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. And I just remembered thinking during that, that we have to have confidence in ourselves, that's the only way we'll make it through. Especially with everything that would be coming up for me later in this year. After graduation was the Senior All Nighter!!!!! We had a stomp, a catered dinner from Tucano's, Comedy Sportz, big blow up things, a photo booth, snow cones, and a hypnotist. That was a very fun night, and I'm so glad I got to spend it with friends.
June- June was actually when HOSA Nationals was held...so towards the end of June me, Shelby Judd, Brianne Penrod, Coach Stevens, and Brianne's mom and sister all got on a plane and headed for Orlando!! Oh how I do not miss the humidity of the South. Goodness. But, that was all fun and there's pictures up on Facebook. I don't know how I actually did, but hey, I was in Florida and it's not like I was going back to high school, I just wanted to have fun! Something else that was fun, my friend Dallyn from Alaska and his family all moved to Florida near Orlando and one of the days they picked me up from being a Disney prisoner (as I liked to joke. We were staying at one of the resorts and Disney took us EVERYWHERE, it was crazy) and we went to the airport to pick up Danae who was coming home for R&R then we went to lunch, and that was just fun. Oh! And my Orientation for SUU was that month.
July- I mostly just worked and prepared to move, nothing too exciting.
August- This month ranks among one of the most eventful as well. At the beginning I went to my friend, Christian's show, where I saw DWBK, Get Scared, Vampires Everywhere!, and Modern Day Escape...but later that month is when I'd be moving to Cedar City to go to SUU. I moved down there August 19th and spent the weekend in "Flight School" which..had it's ups and downs haha. It was sometimes fun..but mostly it was just the last part of Orientation. Classes started on the 23rd and I just jumped right into the whole school thing. And I'm loving every minute of it.
September- My brother got the Priesthood this month [[: Uhmm...not too much happened..Just school and meeting new friends. I think the Freshman Board retreat was this month too.
October- Halloween!!! And..yeah haha. That about covers it.
November- Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Break. A much needed break too, if you ask me, as SUU didn't get a fall break this year.
December- Now..I finished my first semester of college..survived finals...and today is New Years Eve!! ( I realize I got short on the last few months...but that's when I started this blog so you can go back and read about the fun things that happened if you feel like you must know, this is mostly just a way for me not to forget everything that happened) and yes, Christmas!

All in all...this has been a great year. Despite it's ups and downs, 2010 has treated me pretty well. The ending of one chapter of my life, and the beginning of a new and great one. I've left many great friends ]: Who I will never forget and met some the most amazing friends down at SUU [[: It's been a good year. And I'm ready to start 2011 and make it an even better one!!!

So It's Been A While...

Yeah, I've slacked off (surprise) but I can explain myself!!! It's just been crazy with Christmas and being back up in Payson and such. Life's been kinda crazy, but hey, it keeps things interesting. There haven't been many exciting things that have happened this break so far..It's just been nice to relax for a while and not be stressed out about classes and stuff. However, they have been a couple of exciting things...
-Last Sunday I just hung out with Jordan and Halie...it was good to catch up with them
-Last Wednesday Hayden, Chantel, Sara, Kenzie, Liz, Russell, Bridger, and I all went up to Temple Square to see the lights and then up to Sara's house in Layton for dinner (which was DELICIOUS, might I add) and that is definitely a highlight from this break. It's been weird not seeing my friends from Cedar nearly everyday, and it was fun hanging out with all of them, and my friend Liz from high school! It was most definitely great times.
-Last Tuesday (yes, I realize I'm out of order) I went sledding and went and played pool with Halie, Nat, Kort, Britt, Dylan, Dustin, Camille, and SaLisa, my old buds from high school, and it was TONS of fun being with them again! They all crack me up.
-Last Thursday I went and had lunch with my friend, Megan, which at first may not sound overly exciting...but ya see, she just got back from Ukraine last week and she's been gone since I few days after I moved to Cedar City and it was great to see her again!!
-Tonight I went to the mall with Cody and Brittney...which is always a party [[:

Other than that I've just been chillin with my fam and working. Good ol' Western Wats, right? Which reminds me...I was at work today and I saw my friend, Alesha. Funny thing is we both used to work there, we both moved to Cedar to go to SUU, and both ended up back there again over Christmas break..that place just draws you back...or provides money for broke college students..something like that =P

All in all, so far I'd say it's been a successful break. I've been able to relax, see old and new friends, work, and Christmas was great!! Now I'm just lookin forward to New Years. I hope everyone's had a safe and awesome break thus far!!! :D

The Weekend Before Finals. Part Two.

Yes, part two.
Because even though I thought the excitement was over for the weekend...I was wrong!
Saturday afternoon was pretty chill, and it was really relaxing, but Saturday night...Oh my.
I went and ate dinner with some of my friends, and then we went up to the Dance Performance thing, which was really good! I'm super happy for my friends that were in it, because they did really really well [:
After that we were trying to find something to do and while we were just sitting in the hall talking my friend, Sara,   decides she wants a Wii. yep. So at like 12:30 in the morning we all went to Wal-Mart and she bought a Wii, it was the most random, yet one of the most fun nights!!! So we came back and set it up in the study room (appropriately, right?) and Hayden, Chantel, Kenzie, Bridger, Russell, Rachel, Miranda, Sara, and I all just took turns playing the different games and it was tons of fun!!!
Then Sunday was just really relaxing...until later at night when we decided to try and perm Hayden's hair again. It actually worked this time!! This pictures are on Facebook. Then Hayden, Sara, and I all went to Roberto's and watched some drama with the cops unfold right outside...and then I realized I knew who one of the people out there was...but that's a whole different story haha.
Anyway, all in all, it was a fantastic weekend, a great way to end the semester, and the perfect pre-finals stress relief. Now I just have to survive this week!! Only three more finals left [:

Weekend Before Finals...

I've officially finished a semester of classes at SUU. Well, mostly. I don't have anymore classes, just my finals. As of next Friday this semester is OVER!!!! It's a pretty great feeling...until I remember I still have tests to take. Which is kind of stressful, but that's okay. Anyway, this weekend has already been great, and last night was a much needed break from my stress!!!! It was so much fun!!! I was just hanging out with my friends (Chantel, Kenzie, Hayden, Mitch, Ashley, and Krisha) and we went to Little Caesars and then to Mitch's house to eat all the food. We just joked around there for a while and then went to the Institute dance which was also lots and lots of fun. It's been while since I've been to a church dance like that, but it was fun. Especially since I have crazy friends that I can just joke around with the whole time. Then we came back to CHS and tried playing a game...but we were too busy talking and listening to music to actually play. So we just did that for...a long while. But while we were at the dance I got a text from Emily telling me to call Parker, so I did. Then I found out that he and Daniel were coming down here [: So I was still just talking with my other friends and they got here around one in the morning. Then we all kinda sat around and talked some more and after a while they wanted to go to sleep. So I came back to my room with Daniel, Parker, Emily, and Sasha (who were up from Dixie) and we all decided we were hungry so we made a Del Taco run at about three....I love Del Taco, the only place in Cedar open past one. Oh, or Roberto's. Anyway, so we did that and after buying 7 tacos, 4 burritos, a chicken taco, nachos, and a taco salad, we went back to my room where we ate it all and talked for a while longer, then I think somewhere around 4:30 this morning we all kinda passed out. But anyway, it was a much needed break and I'm just thankful for my friends for making me laugh and taking surprise trips to Cedar from Payson!!! :D

Now I just need to do some more studying to be ready for next week. I just gotta make it through next week and I'll be fine [:

What Happens Whem Emily Comes Up From Dixie?

So Monday night Emily and her friend Sasha came up to Cedar from Dixie, which resulted in an adventure. Naturally. We all dressed up in crazy crazy outfits (I was a gangster. Yes, I do realize how white I am =P) and went to Del Taco and just hung out for a while. It was a crazy fun night with tons of laughing!!! I'm actually kinda surprised we didn't get kicked out of Del Taco...but the manager guy seemed to have actually liked us...so I guess it's great!!

Other things from this week...
-Monday I was walking to my Philosophy class and after it had snowed really hard the day before, the roads were all icy. Well, there's this one hill that was really icy with a ditch next to it, but the ditch was filled with snow so it was just like a huge snow bank. Well when I was walking to class, I saw that this older lady had slid off the road and was stuck and couldn't get out. Well about the time I got to where she was, there was already people there trying to dig her car out. So I stopped to help them dig her car out of the snow and push her car back onto the road. It was just really cool to see these college students who were just walking to their classes, take time to stop and help someone. It made me love this place even more!!!
-Tuesday my younger sister, Sarah called me just randomly. I answered the phone and she was just like "Hi Ash!!" So I said hi and then she was just kinda quiet, so I asked her if she was calling cause she needed something and she said..."No, I just miss you, and so does Diego" (my dog) so I told her that I missed her too and then she just said "and I love you" so I said.."I love you too Sarah!" then she just said "Kay, well see ya!!!" and hung up after I said bye. It was just about the cutest thing ever and TOTALLY made my whole day. Well...probably more of me week, and maybe month haha. She's just too cute :D
- Today (Wednesday) I went and ate lunch with Bree, Chantel, Hayden, and Sara, which is pretty much always a party. I just love those guys, I was pretty much laughing the whole time. I don't know how I was actually able to eat or drink anything cause I was always laughing so hard. We had the most random conversations and I really love that we can just laugh at ourselves whenever we do something dumb. Oh it's just been a great day so far!!!

Also, two more days of class, one week of finals, then.....CHRISTMAS BREAK!!! Yes, I am very excited. I'm really excited to be able to start a new semester, as well. Next semester should be great! :D

Thanksgiving :D

Just as a disclaimer, I do realize how cliche this is, but I'm gonna do it anyway!

Being down in Cedar City at SUU, has given me a chance to really realize what all that I am thankful for. And I've also realized, that is a very long list, and I couldn't possibly even fit everything on here, nor have the time to do so. But I am extremely grateful for all that I have been blessed with, and I'm even more grateful for all the amazing people in my life. All my "stuff" can only get me so far, but I really just don't know where'd I'd be without certain people in my life. My friends and family that kept me (and still do keep me) going through everything. I've also realized that every person I have met has had some sort of impact on my life, in some way, and that's something I'm thankful for. Both the good and bad. Because even the people who didn't necessarily help me so much, still taught me very valuabe lessons, and I'm only here to learn.

I think we should all take some time everyday to think of the things we are thankful for, just so we don't lose perspective. But, if not, today is the perfect day to sit down and just think about it all, because even those of us who seem to have harder lives, are still very blessed in some way [[:

Another thing I'm grateful for? This break from school [[: It's only Thursday and I'm already having so much fun not being in my classes and spending time with the people I miss [: It's been great!!!!
And something to look forward to, only one more week of class, then finals week, the Christmas Break!!! Although...I'm still not totally sure what I'm gonna do in Payson for a month now. But we'll see [:

Taking Things For Granted

Just after 2 pm today I got a text from one of my friends asking if I had heard about the plane that crashed near Wilson Elementary, and I hadn't. But after I had read that I kinda sorta freaked out just a lot a little bit, because my brother, Josh, and my sisters, Shayelin and Sarah all go to school there. Also, the house where I used to live in Payson is only a couple blocks away from where this happened. I didn't know any other details other than a plane had crashed. So I went to the computer to took up the story and see what I could find, and it turns out that the plane crashed around 1:15, just 45 minutes before Wilson would be let out of school today. Both of the people in the plane died, but the plane crashed in a field/driveway between two houses, right across the street from the school. Seriously, only a street between the plane and Wilson Elementary property. No one else was injured. Thankfully. So after I knew they'd be home, I called my house, just to check and make sure that everything was okay. I talked to my brother and he said that one of his friends saw the whole thing, and that he could hear it from where he was. I just couldn't imagine being so young and witnessing that. But I'm just so thankful that it missed the houses and the school, and that no one else was hurt.

But this really got me thinking how much we (at least I know I do) take things for granted. In an instant things can literally be turned upside down. I was expecting to wake up, go to class, come back home, and for my siblings to do the same, but if that plane would've been just a few feet back or to the side it could've hit houses, or even the school, changing everything. We really are blessed that nothing else happened, and this just made me realize how much I do love and appreciate my family and friends. I just can't even imagine what would've happened if school would've been out and the kids would've been walking home during that time, because there is always a lot of kids on the surrounding streets of Wilson walking home after school. It could've very easily turned into a huge tragedy, so I can't help but be grateful for what I have.

The Great Times [[:

Just an update on the SUU-ness and such,
this last weekend...was....SO MUCH FUN!
Nothing was even super extraordinary, it was just tons of fun...
Friday: Marianne came down here so her, Sarah, Trisa, and I all hung out for a while and then Marianne had to leave so after that I just went to Trisa's house and just hung out with her for a while. Which was great times!!! We made a cake and over-enthusiastically watched a Jazz game. It was great times!! Then I went and watched Inception and went on late night adventures around campus
Saturday: This was my lazy day. I FINALLY set up my TV. It's only been like 3 months =P Then I just kinda hung out with some friends and went to the Volleyball game with Carly, Amanda, Russel, Ashley, and Bridger which was awesome. SUU won, as to be expected and we had like $30 in free food from 5 Buck Pizza. So we went there, got tons of pizza, and came back and watched a movie where lions ate people. Then made cookies. It was perfect.
Sunday: I got up late, went to church (which was good), called my family, went to dinner, then my friends Chantel and Kenzie came back so I hung out with them for a while. Then we decided to perm Hayden's hair. Oh my heck. I'm still not sure why he let that happen. But it was sooo much fun. Then Kenzie and I put one in our hair, but mine didn't stay.
So yeah!! That was pretty much my weekend. Lotsa fun and good talks with me friends :D

For All Those Considering SUU [:

Recently a lot of my friends have been asking me about SUU and how I like it here, and if I think they'd like it here, and so here's a longer, more thoughtful answer;
I LOVE being here at SUU, I can't say it's the right place for everyone, but I know it's the right place for me. I've had sooo much fun here, it's crazy how much fun, actually. I've met some AMAZING people, and it really seems like I've known them longer than 3 months, but it hasn't even been that long yet. There's always something going on here to get involved in, and I love that about SUU. I also love how quickly SUU really did become home, I feel comfortable here, and I feel like it's where I'm supposed to be.
The professors here (at least the ones I've had) have all been pretty good and I haven't had any problems with them.
The class sizes are small, which makes it easy to learn. I really do love being on a smaller campus, at least for my undergrads, I think it's easier to meet people and get involved that way.
SUU has a BEAUTIFUL campus, it really is so pretty here, and despite what some may think, there is a lot to do here.
SUU is just lots of fun, I've already had some great experiences here, and I haven't been here that long.
So for those who are seriously considering attending SUU, I'd encourage you to come here and take a tour, do some research, and if it's what you wanted it to be, I'd strongly encourage you to come here. This really is better than I was expecting, and I'm so glad I chose SUU over U of U :D
But, to all my friends who are still deciding between schools, if SUU isn't where you want to go, just make the most of wherever you are. This time only comes by once in your life, make sure you get involved in something and make the most of it, it can be an amazing time [[:

But I guess that can apply to anyone in any stage of life. Live every day to the fullest, you'll never have this time again, make it worthwhile

My Schedule For Next Semester

So, basically, I'm super excited for my schedule next semester. It's going to be great [: The only thing is that stupid Library one credit class SUU requries all Freshman to take. That puts me at 16 credits so I can't take anymore classes, cause I really wanted to take the Serial and Mass Murder or Terrorism class, but that max number of credits I can take is 18 and both of those would put me at 19 =/
Other than that I'm very happy.
I'll be taking....
HSS 1120 (Intro to Diversity) MWF at nine
Comm 1010 MWF at ten
Musc 1020 MWF at 11
and
Soc 3450 TR at 10
Biol 1010 TR at 1
Plus that dumb Library class I'm testing out of.
My declared major and minors are, as of now, Sociology with minors in Criminal Jutice and Communications with a Communication Studies emphasis [:

Yepp I'm a slacker =P

I was just wondering how long it would take me to start slackin' off on this thing hahaha...well, not very long I suppose. It's just hard to constantly keep it updated with well...college going on, ya know?
So what's happening in my life...
Well...
I went up to Payson last weekend for a conference at BYU and a couple farewells, and that was TONS of fun. I did miss The Howl (SUU's Halloween party) but it's okay. While up there I went to the conference Thursday which was..fascinating. It really was. It was about human trafficking for slavery and prostitution and I really did learn a lot from it. Just a quick disturbing fact, a pimp selling only four girls a year into child prostitution can make over $600,000 a year. It's sick how low humanity can go sometimes. It's actually rather frustrating but I'm really glad I went because I learned a lot that I'm not sure I otherwise would've. Well after that I went and hung out with my friend Liz and some other people and we went to Taco Bell [: Chalupas are pretty freakin' great and I'd suggest trying one [[:
Let's see...hmmm...Friday...Friday I went to Wats to see some of my old buddies and I ended up working for a little bit, but after Andrea, Cody, Steven, Shelby, and I all went to this party/dance thing and that was a lot of fun, also, and it was super fun to hang out with those guys again [:
Saturday I went to Wats, again, and worked for a little bit then Corbin, Ali, Daniel, Andrea, Cody, Kassidi, Kaylee, and I all went to Wingers and that was..quite the experience haha. I miss those guys a lot :/ And after that we went back to Wats for the re-branding party because Western Wats will now no longer be called Wats..it is now Opinionology, and I'm not totally sure how I feel about that. BUT! My friend Christian make donuts with bacon on them, and they were really good, actually. I know how it sounds, but seriously, you have to try it. Later that night I took my sisters trick or treating and just kinda hung out with my siblings for a while which was fun [:
Sunday I got up earlier than I have in I don't even know how long and went to my friend Josh's farewell with Shelby and Liz [: He did amazing with his little talk thinger and I'm super excited for him to go on his mission [: And after that one we went to Jeff's too. Then I came back home to Cedar with Autumn, Bridger, and Anna and had a fun ride back like always haha. So yepp...that was my weekend :D

This week..Hmmm...not a lot of exciting things are going on this week I don't think..I have a Criminal Justice test Friday and a Math test coming up soon too, I think. Yeah, other than that it's just been the fun college stuff and just having lots of fun with my friends here in Cedar. I have made some pretty freaking awesome friends down here, they're tons of fun [: And after being here for a while, even though I do miss my friends from Payson, I can really say that I'm glad I chose SUU because I do think it's been the best for me [[:

Oh The Fun [[:

Last week was Homecoming Week...so there was tons of crazy things going on..Quick re-cap

Tuesday night..Neon dance in the cave!! Possibly one of the most fun school dances I've been to. It really seemed more like a concert than a dance. It was a party [[:
Thursday night- Pete Lee. Kay guys, seriously, look this guy up. He was soo funny.."Well punch a duck" "You look fat when you cry!" "I was a baby once..." "Jacooooob" And bunny bashing..kay what the heck is this? Besides slightly disturbing? What is this? Future serial killers of America? Goodness. I've never heard of it till that night. I could've gone my whole life without knowing about that.
Friday- Pep rally and frickin sweet fireworks
Saturday-  Homecoming Game!!! We won 20 to 7. Heck yeah! Again, it's nice to go to a school that can win a game or two.

My midterms are officially finished! I took my last one today. I studied six hours yesterday for that freaking Philosophy test. I'm just hoping it went well.

Between studying yesterday my dear friend Chantel and I went to Hogi Yogi and then later that night to see Brumby and The Mother Folksters (yeah..I know haha) But if you get the chance, look em' up. We both liked them, and it was a most excellent way to relieve me stress from that stupid test.

Uhmmmm...other news...I'm not sure what else is going on. Not too much I don't think. It's raining super hard right now and I'm thinkin it's gonna start snowing soon. But hey, it is Cedar City after all.

Other than that, college has been fun [: I love my friends here, and just the same I miss all my old friends. You all are freaking awesome!! Only thing that's no bueno? Trying to find a job in a tiny college town. Times I'm grateful I didn't go to Snow. I'm sure it's probaby worse in Ephraim.

Oh! And..there's only about a month and a half of school till Christmas Break [[: That also means only a month and a half till finals...but I'm not focusing on that =P

College Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife [[:

I <3 college!
Basically, it's just tons of fun, I love my classes, and I've met some freakin sweet people, so of course that helps [[:
And I just got two tests out of the way, so I'm in a pretty good mood right about now [:
Last weekend I went up to good old P-Town to see family and friends, and of course that was fun. Thanks to Daniels threats I ended up going back to a high school football game, but it was fun. They played Salem and won 28-13 and I'm super proud of my friend Corbin for making an AWESOME tackle. But my dear friend Ali and I couldn't help but laugh when at the end of third quater they played I've Got A Feeling, it was almost like sweet revenge. Last year when Payson played Salem they lost because of a RIDICULOUS call, and they played that song at the end of the game, so most people at that game no longer liked that song, but after they played it Friday night, I have a feeling that is all going to change. Anyways, good job Payson [: And after that I went on an adventure to Wats and saw a couple old supervisors and stuff and then Shinah, Ali, Daniel, Mataya, and I went to Orem and it was just tons of fun [[:
Then Saturday I ended up going back to Wats. To work. But it's okay, broke college students need money, and I had fun seeing all my old Wats buddies, cause they're pretty freaking awesome [: Then a little later I went to Cece's house and had a baking adventure with her, Kort, and Dustin, and those are ALWAYS exciting :D
And Sunday I pretty much just had lunch with my family and came back home [[: And my younger brother passed the Sacrament for the first time, and yes, I now feel even older. That kid's almost taller than me, and I'm sure he will be by Christmas! Insanity I tell you!

Fun for this week? It's Homecoming Week!!! So there's gonna be tons of activities going on this week that I'm way excited for, it should be bueno! AND! I only have one more midterm and the general and seminar sessions of my Univ. class end this week, it's going to be a good week :D

The Wonderful People In My Life :D

Sooo....
Yeah.
Basically, I just have the most AMAZING people in my life. I don't know how or why, but for some reason there's always people that make my days better, even if they don't realize it [:
Recently I've received several, and seemingly random, uplifting texts from friends, I'm not totally sure why, all I really know is that I'm thankful for them, because they make everything much better and always make me smile [: So thanks friends!! I really do have the best friends that anyone could ever think about asking for :D

Other things going on? Uhmmm...
I actually don't think there's anything extraordinary going on right now, just the normal stuff. Wake up, go to class, homework, and super fun adventures with friends, so things are good I guess, yeah? Yep [[:

OH!!! I am VERY excited for Halloween though, it should be great fun here in Cedar South (since I do live on the party floor, as we like to refer to it [[:). I did watch Halloweentown the other day!!!! It made me feel like such a young kid again, and it was funny because every person that walked by was like HALLOWEENTOWN!!!! SUU is full of such cool college students [[: But yeah, I'm excited, it should be fun!!!!

MLIA? Oh yeah.

So last night...after a crazy Saturday consisting of a tailgate, football game, volleyball game, and then comedy mentalist, I had the PERFECT ending to a almost great day (It would've been had we not lost. By 3. Off BS calls, but it's all good, we won our volleyball game [:) Anyway...we're sitting in the Rotunda (for all those who have no idea what that is, it's the big circle open area in the student center) talking with my friends when Carly goes "you are so dumb, you are really dumb. For real" (referencing the now famous Bed Intruder video) when this campus security guard walks by and says "He's climbing in your windows, he's snatching your people up" and then just walked off without saying anything else. We laughed for...a very long time. So thank you unknown security person for completing our day [[:

P.S. I enjoyed Conference [[:
