Back To Blogging! :D

Yeah, I slacked on this thing. But that should come as no surprise. Anywho, I'm not gonna try to fill in for missing time, for those of you who know me or if we're friends on Facebook, then you're already aware of the recent happenings in my life...

Anywho, I just wanted to share an occurrence from today that got me thinkin'...

So I was just looking through news things online trying to find something interesting to read, when I came across a story that I'm really glad I read. Now, I'm not too big into stalking the royal family or anything, and I wasn't dying to watch William and Kate's wedding, so when I came across a story with Kate's name in the title, I wasn't overly intrigued, but then I saw the picture of her hugging a young girl that was next to the title, so I decided to read it. It was about this 6 year old cancer patient who had a wish to meet a princess, and how Kate took the time to talk to her for a minute. (You can read the story for a better description if you wish here http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/life/6-year-old-cancer-patient-gets-a-royal-hug-from-kate-duchess-of-cambridge-2508845/?pg=8) I don't know, I guess something about that whole thing just kind of said something to me. I guess I appreciate the time Kate took to spend with her and seeing something positive in the news for once. And also something that's worthwhile to read (right next to this story was something about Robert Pattinson cutting his hair. Really? Why is the relevant or important? At all. But whatever) I suppose it was just refreshing to see someone do something nice for someone else for once. There's just so much negative that's constantly going on around us, it seems as though sometimes we forget what love and compassion are, and that was a nice reminder that there is good in the world. Just look at the pictures from the story and look at the smile on the little girls face, you can't tell me that's not one of the most precious things you've ever seen. To see a six year old who's gone through so much, smile like that, is just great. I wish the best for her.

It's the smallest things that can make all the difference, we never know what simple act could change a life. Maybe, just maybe, if we spent a little more time loving and caring, and a little less time caught up in the negative and frivolous things of the world, we'd all be a little bit happier.

Yeah...Didn't Take Too Long For Me To Start Slacking On This. Surprised? You Shouldn't Be

So...I have a hard time with the follow through on some things, what can I say? I mean it's fine, I'm updating this thing now, so hopefully that will suffice.

I'm not totally sure why, but for some reason lately I've just been thinking a lot about all the people I've met, all the places I've lived, and all the experiences I've had. It really is crazy to think nearly 19 years have gone by already. Looking back now, it seems as though it's gone by so fast, yet during that moment time seems to be passing so slowly. It's a weird thing, that time concept. But we base so much of our lives off it. Strange. Anyway...

Looking back I realize that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I lived the places I did, at the times I did, and met the people I did, for a reason. They were all supposed to affect me in some way. There was something to be learned from everyone and everything. Now I can only hope that I took as much from those experiences as I possibly could. Because it's each one of those people and places that have made me who I am today. I guess it'd be a good thing to figure out how I became the person I am =P Lots of things have happened in my life, both good and bad, but there's something to be learned from everything that happens, I just hope I haven't taken too much for granted.

Life's a weird thing. It moves so fast and so slow at the same time. People come in and out of our lives all the time. Things change SO fast. Ridiculously fast, actually. All I know is that right now in my life, I can only take things day by day and appreciate what I have here, while I have it. Everything can change in just one moment.

Other than my random thoughts, there's nothing too exciting going on in Cedar City right now that I can think of. Anything of importance that isn't listed here can probably be found on Facebook...for some reason I don't slack on that as much haha.

What Do You Do When You're Bored? Take A Trip To St. George, Naturally. :D

Yeah...so last weekend was DEFINITELY a great way to start out this semester!!! Oh my heck. It was great.
Friday night was our Gymnastics meet against UCLA which we won by .3 points!! It was pretty much..amazing!!! UCLA's ranked number 5 and we were ranked number 23. So it was pretty awesome. After that Friday night DJ Marcus Wing came back to Cedar and did another dance for us, which was also awesome. It was SO much fun. I don't lose my voice often, but I did after that night =P
Saturday was pretty chill, not too much happened really. But it was fun. Just hung out with friends and played games.
Then Sunday after church we decided to head down to St. George for the night. Which was an adventure!!!! And that's almost even an understatement. We went swimming, made non-alcoholic drinks, played cards, watched a movie, went to a park...Hahahah played on a swing, and then came back up here to Cedar.
It was a great weekend and I'm very blessed to have the people that I do in my life.

Yes, Two In The Same Day

For some reason when I was typing that last one, I remembered something from Debate...Just, ya know, funny things. Redundant things, rather...I have no idea why I thought of this, but ladies and gentlemen, I would just like to inform you what some things mean....

ATM- Automated Teller Machine
SAT- Scholastic Aptitude Test
PIN- Personal Identification Number
POV- Personally Owned Vehicle
(Any others like this)

Please, for the sake of not sounding like a redundant fool, avoid saying things such as ATM machine, SAT test, PIN number, POV vehicle, because just take a minute and figure out what you're really saying. (Automated Teller Machine machine) Exactly.

This concludes my grammar rant for the time being, thank you.

Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Back To Cedar City!!! :D

Yes, yes, YES! My month long break from school and month "vacation" to Payson is now officially OVER!

I am back in Cedar and more excited for next semester than I was the last!

Well...at least the being in Cedar City part of it. The actually school part of it, not so much. But hey, I guess that's why I'm paying so much to be here, right? No, I'm only kidding, I've never been one that just loathes school. It's not always my favorite and I stress myself out WAY too much, but overall, I really do love learning. Yeah, call me a nerd, whatever, but I am excited for my schedule for next semester. It's going to be a good one [[:

So I came down a couple days early hoping that I could find a job, and I spent some time on that, we'll see how it turns out.
But I came down and stayed with my friend, Trisa, who was unlucky enough to have to work almost all break, but hey, having a job is good I suppose. Anywho, yeah, so it's been great fun...Even with..."it" around. Hah. I'm terrible. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, I am excited because all my other friends will be coming back sometime this weekend and I'm so very excited to see them. It was weird not seeing everyone for a month.
Anyway, point of this is, I'm back in Cedar, and I'm very happy to be here [:
